NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award
Frankfort-Schuyler middle school students Destany Martinez and Angelina Tangorra have been selected as recipients of the 2019 National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Outstanding Achievement Award. The award honors 500 exceptional NJHS students nationwide with a certificate of recognition, a medallion and a $500 award, which will be placed in a college savings account.
The Outstanding Achievement Award is given to NJHS members who have demonstrated excellence in the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship. Students were nominated for the award by their school's NJHS Faculty Committee. To be eligible for the award, the student must be a current NJHS member in good standing and currently be enrolled in grade 6, 7, 8 or 9 at an NJHS affiliated school.
Also named as finalists for the NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award were Frankfort-Schuyler students Abigail Ogievich and Olivia Teachout.
Congratulations, Destany, Abigail, Angelina and Olivia!
