Students Participate in Free Baseball Clinic
On July 1-3, the Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District held a free baseball clinic at Hilltop Fields in Frankfort for students entering grades 5-7. Participants were able to learn and practice basic baseball skills and a youth leadership mentoring component was also included. Current high school student-athletes helped mentor the younger Knights under the supervision of the team coaches.
The District is hosting several free sport clinics throughout the summer and fall. The clinics were designed not only to enhance the interscholastic opportunities for student-athletes but also to offer an alternative location and facility for student-athlete use, as the District’s athletic fields are currently under construction.
The District’s ability to offer athletic clinics to help student-athletes further their skills and strengthen healthy connections to their peer and adult mentors and coaches is made possible by the strong partnership with and support from the Edwin J. Wadas Foundation.
The next free athletic clinic will be a football clinic on July 23-25 at the Frankfort-Schuyler Secondary Building for students entering grades 5-7. To register, click here.
